Airgentic is pleased to announce a new customer launch with Intrim Group, introducing an AI sales agent designed to support customers as they explore products and plan projects.
For many years, AI on websites has largely taken the form of FAQ style chatbots. These systems typically rely on keyword matching and return pre written answers from a knowledge base. While helpful for simple questions, they rarely provide the kind of guidance customers expect when researching products or making purchasing decisions.
Advances in AI are now making it possible to move beyond that model. The new Airgentic Sales Agent for Intrim demonstrates how conversational AI can act more like a knowledgeable showroom consultant than a traditional chatbot.
Instead of simply retrieving information, the agent understands Intrim’s product range and business domain in depth. It listens to what customers are trying to achieve, interprets their requirements, and guides them through a conversation focused on their project.
Once the customer’s needs are clear, the agent intelligently searches the Intrim website to recommend suitable products. This may include mouldings, trims, or specific style categories that match the project requirements.
Behind the scenes, Intrim has also replaced its previous Algolia search implementation with Airgentic Search. Rather than relying primarily on keyword matching, the new search capability focuses on understanding intent. This helps customers find relevant products and information more naturally, even when their queries are broad or exploratory.
Another capability introduced as part of the launch is the “Find an Installer” agent. This feature connects to spatial data from WP Store Locator within the Intrim WordPress environment. When customers ask for help locating an installer, the agent queries the data and presents nearby professionals directly within Google Maps, making it simple to identify and contact installers in their area.
Together, these capabilities create a smoother buying journey for customers while providing manufacturers like Intrim with a more effective way to convert website visitors into qualified sales opportunities.
The launch reflects a broader shift in how organisations are using AI online. Instead of acting only as information retrieval tools, AI agents are increasingly becoming digital sales teammates that help guide customers toward decisions and outcomes.
Airgentic would like to thank Erica Williams and the Intrim team for their collaboration in bringing this experience to life.
