Why time-aware search matters for AI customer service

One small detail can make or break an AI agent’s answer.


Airgentic recently added a feature that helps agents find information within the right time frame. It may sound simple, but it is an often overlooked requirement for effective AI customer service.


When someone asks a question such as “What shows are on this weekend?”, “What’s happening next month?” or “What events are on this summer?”, the agent needs to understand the time period implied by the question.

A better agent understands that some questions require recency. It can bias its search toward more recent and relevant sources, reducing the chance of surfacing outdated information.


This kind of intelligent querying is an important part of making AI agents genuinely useful.


Time frame, location, timezone, language, country of origin and other context signals can all help create more accurate and helpful conversational experiences. These details allow an AI agent to move beyond basic keyword matching and provide support that better reflects what the user actually needs.
